Kru Lite Aircrew Aviation jacket

Also sold as the 'Transair Aircrew-Lite Aviation Lifejacket ', this specially designed lifejacket features a unique bum bag style design.

The jacket is fitted with a manual only arming mechanism, making escape from a ditched aircraft possible before the jacket is inflated.

The bum bag is worn facing forward. The jacket is inflated by pulling a cord on the front, this inflates the buoyant chamber which the wearer simply puts their head through.

The advantage of this lifejacket is the unobtrusive design, leaving the wearers whole upper body free.  Its also very compact making it easy to stow onboard.

With 150 Newton’s of buoyancy this lifejacket conforms to European standard EN 396. Officially classed as a lifejacket because it turns you into the upright position once in the water. The jacket is manual firing only through a Halkey Roberts inflation mechanism, with a 33g CO2 cylinder.

Manual firing suits the aviation environment, this jacket will not fire unless the cord is pulled , eliminating the risk of a false inflation for example if it were dropped into the water or splashed heavily.

It also has the facility to manually top up air via a tube, retro reflective tape on the inflating chamber, a lifting strap and a whistle. The belt features a small but robust stainless steel buckle.
